Joshua Hext is an award winning artist & filmmaker based in the South East of England. They have worked on productions for BBC, Adobe, Channel 4, NFTS & Warner Bros. They are known for their two shorts 'This Camera is Broken' & 'Quietus'.

'This Camera is Broken' was selected at the BFI Future Film Festival, BAFTA qualifying Norwich Film Festival, nominated for 'Best Production Design' & 'Best Costume Design' at Birmingham Film Festival & nominated for 'Best British Short Film' at Winchester Film Festival. It was broadcast on BBC Four and featured on BFIPlayer and IPlayer.

'Quietus' was screened at the ICA & BFI Southbank, won 'Best Film by a Filmmaker under 25' at Fish-Eye Film Festival & had Joshua named one of 'Top 15 Filmmakers outside of London' by Levile.
